You can collect all of the honey from a beehive at the honey super; this is the part of the beehive where most of the honey is stored. There are around eight to ten frames in each honey super. Worker bees are the bees that store all the nectar into one of these honeycombs. Once the designated super is full, a beekeeper then extracts the honey from the full honey supers from the beehive. Honey extracting companies use drums that have rotating wire baskets to harvest the honey. All of the combs that the beekeeper has already uncapped are put in the drum right in the wired basket. The bee keeper will then decide if he or she is going to turn the drum using a motor or will he or she be using only the hands. The honey will then fly out of the comb and onto the drum where it will slowly drain through the spigot.

The first step is removing the frames.
You will need a piece of certain equipment for removing the frames from the hive to wherever you want to extract the honey. You have to have the right gear on so that you can keep away from the angry bees and their stingers; you need a veil or a helmet, a bee suit and a pair of gloves. Getting all the stuff ready is essential to keep the bee extracting process efficiently fast. You need an empty hive body for each of the super you collect and a sheet of plywood to cover up the empty hive bodies and frame gripper.
You need all of the equipment before you can take the super and put it in the area where the honey extracting is going to take place. You do not want a honey room full of bees; this is why you have to make sure that you remove the frames without irritating the bees.
You have to be sure that you find all of the needed equipment before you take that first frame so that things will go smoothly. Not having even one of the needed equipment is going to put you in a bad spot; everything has to be there so that everything will fall right into the plan. You have to consider getting all the right equipment because that will make the process a lot more bearable plus you need those tools to move everything without getting stung by bees or messing up the process and wasting honey in the process.
